How to order
Classic Design Italia does not have any authorized dealers, agents, or branch sales offices; our classics can be purchased exclusively online (from our website shop.classicdesignitalia.com) or offline, through our Customer Service. CDI gives you the exclusive possibility of modifying or cancelling your order, provided you send written notification within 5 working days subsequent to the order: email@example.com. If we receive nothing we will deem the order tacitly accepted. Beyond the period mentioned, the cancellation or any changes made to the order will not be accepted or if agreed in some cases cancellation will be subject to a charge of costs by CDI. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price CDI shall have the right to refuse or cancel any order submitted at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If your payment has already been processed and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a refund for the full value of the amount processed.
Leather, wood and marble are natural raw materials. Differing grain, open pores , marble veining, wood knots and color diffences cannot be consider defects but marks that highlight natural origins and beauty.
Purchaser's withdrawal rights
The customer may withdraw from the contract without penalty and without providing a reason, within 14 working days from receipt of the goods. In order to exercise this right, it must be sent a notification by registered letter to our customer service within the above deadline; this notification may also be sent by telegram or fax, always confirmed by a registered letter within the next 48 hours. The right of withdrawal does not apply to products that are tailored, nonstandard or custom( Selected sample). The goods must be returned by and under the responsibility of the customer in perfect condition within 14 days of being notified of his right of withdrawal. We always recommend that they are insured for the return shipment. The integrity of the goods is an essential condition for exercising the right to cancel and get a refund.Once back at our manufacturing plant the article will be carefully checked by our experts in order to verify the integrity of the same. Any damage or mark that results in a reduction of the initial value of the property will involve a proportional reduction in the refund of the amount paid. CDI will return the amount paid less the shipping cost of the item from showroom to the customer’s address within 30 days of receiving it.
Seller's withdrawal rights
Classic Design Italia remains the owner of the goods until effective payment of the entire amount due and reserves the right to withdraw the goods in event of incomplete payments. Classic Design Italia may withdraw from the contract if the client does not observe the general terms and conditions.
From the time of order confirmation, your handmade furniture will take approximately from 4 to 8 weeks to be completely built by our craftsmen. Delivery times vary according to every single item. As these products are made completely by hand, they may cause production delays. It is excluded from the outset that such delays could give rise to a claim for damages, direct or indirect, or cancellation of the order. The made in Italy is at the core of our project. Classic Design Italia is anchored by the Italian hand-crafted production and by the origin and quality of the materials. We are one of the few companies which obtained the 100% Made in Italy Certification, issued by the ITPI (Institute for the Protection of Italian Manufacturers).
The products from the collection I GRANDI MAESTRI have a 10-year warranty valid since their date of purchase. For other products the warranty varies between 2 and 10 years. In the technical description of each product on the website shop.classicdesignitalia.com, you can view information about the type of warranty offered. A part or the entire product will be replaced if it shows a production defect within the warranty period. The replacement under warranty is possible only in European territory.To verify the real existence of the defect of production, CDI will require to the customer to return the defective product to our center and will take place an investigation by our experts in order to confirm that the warranty applies. Once a defect of production has been verified, the shipping cost will be reimbursed to the customer. (Otherwise, if warranty service is not applicable, you can refer to Out of Warranty Terms and Conditions).
This warranty does not apply to:
- Any direct, indirect or incidental damages arising from the use of the product.
- Damages that may have resulted from normal wear and tear or misuse/abuse or modification of the product without our consultation e/o approval.
- Failure to comply with care and maintenance instructions accompanying the product. In order to keep your classics in top condition, we recommend using special products conceived by Classic Design Italia for its customers: the Leather Care Kit, metal cleaner, marble care kit.
- Damage from direct exposure to sunlight and/or heat sources, and similar conditions, with resulting discolouration.
- Shall not be considered defects: Natural variations occurring in wood, marble, fabric and leather; Natural settling of the padding; Natural markings or creases caused by damage to the leather or by variations in the grain and colour due to the leather’s natural properties (characteristics that simply reflect the use of genuine leather)
- Overload on the structures, misuse or any use of the product other than that for which it was designed.
Out of warranty terms and conditions
If for any reason it is determined that a warranty service is not applicable,CDI assists own customers with a form of integrative assistance. Once you have sent the product to our center, you will be informed of this and an estimate can be provided for a chargeable product repair. However, you will be contacted for your agreement prior to this reparation. Declining a cost estimate will result in the product being returned by CDI. Accepting a cost estimate will ensure that the product progresses via our repair process and once repaired, the product will be dispatched to you. Shipping costs to be paid by the customer.
General conditions of carriage
The delivery fees specified in the offer are referred to the quotation made by the courier service that, upon your request and on your behalf, will handle the delivery to the specified delivery address (lead time: 10 days approx.) We remind you that the courier service which will handle the delivery is an external company not associated with our company. Classic Design Italian uses the best courier services to deliver your product within the stipulated time. Delivery in the historic center, town center, pedestrian area or restricted traffic is subject to the additional cost that is calculated according to the weight and dimensions of the packages. We recommend you to contact our customer service which will help you during the delicate phase of unpacking the package and checking the conditions of the delivered goods. The customer shall check the condition of the goods when they are delivered and in front of the courier. In case of damaged items please indicate the problem in the delivery note and contact immediately our Customer Service that will help you to file an insurance claim with the courier service in order to request the replacement of the damaged part. All prices are quoted in Euros (€) and are exclusive of the legal value added tax (VAT). DDU, Incoterm Delivered Duty Unpaid. Orders to countries outside the European Union (EU) may be subject to import duties and/or taxes, which are levied once your package reaches your country and depending on the laws of the country concerned. These additional charges for customs clearance will have to be borne by the recipient. Since customs policies vary widely from country to country, we have no control over these charges and can't predict what they might be.
PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN AT THE MOMENT OF DELIVERY :
It is important that at the moment of delivery you carefully check the conditions of the goods. In case of damaged goods, you shall accept the delivery (unless the goods are completely damaged). Under penalty of an expiration of your application for compensation, you shall not check the box "Packaging Good Condition" on the delivery note and indicate the damage you found writing it on the "Note" section. Please describe visible damages only, and make no assumptions; only in this way, you shall have the possibility to open an insurance claim with the courier service in order to request the replacement of the damaged part. You will then be asked to send pictures of the damaged goods and the appropriate departments will establish the respective responsibilities. We remind you that in case of damaged goods, you must promptly contact our Customer Service that will help you to file an insurance claim with the courier service. If the customer does not observe the above-mentioned precautions, Classic Design Italia shall not be held responsible or liable for any damage and therefore will not be able to replace the goods free of charge.

Our images, colors and dimensions
We always do our best to propose you the best images and descriptions in our technical data sheets. However colors and details differences can appear by effects of Internet browsers, screens or photographic techniques. Sizes and dimensions in technical data sheet are purely indicative and contain tolerance margins due to hand-crafts work involved in our production.
